Generator or Electric Utility Vehicle?
Our society can be quite funny at times. It appears we want our cake, yet we want to eat it to. Many of us have come to worry about mobile electricity especially after 9/11, the east coast blackout, and Hurricane Katrina. This has lead to confusion because mobile generators need a fuel source similar to electric utility vehicles.
Internal Combustion Problems
The internal combustion engines have several problems relating to fuel requirements, environmental issues such as pollution, and noise levels. Society agreed to the internal combustion during the time when oil supplies were high and it was cheap to buy. As we started into the 20th century, this technology included large engines with great amounts of power. We have also found ourselves surrounded by junkyards full of rusted metal vehicles. It all made sense then as we had plenty of oil reserves and miles of land that was not developed.
Society has become very accustomed to that raw power in their automobiles. We have become a mobile society. The Detroit auto makers have paved the way for use with every type of internal combustion vehicle we could ever want. Add in those vehicles produced in Germany and Japan, and you have quite a selection of items to choose from. We have become accustomed to the ìjust because we canî attitude in relation to our vehicle choices.
Not Done With Internal Combustion Yet
Electricity has always been popular in the items we use. Lawn mowers and chain saws are very common uses. Electric utility vehicles have become the latest item to join this group of products. I am sure they will be made in China as well. That is the beauty of having a global economy.
You may be curious about what your electric utility vehicle can do. Can it go off road? How about lift 2,000 pounds? Are you able to plug it in? How about using cooking oil for it to operate? It is very apparent that our society has been spoiled by internal combustion. We have become accustomed to simply stepping on the gas pedal and having our vehicle respond.
The demands we have for electric utility vehicles are not very different. It doesnít matter if it is a yard trolley, pedestrian vehicle, or lunar model. Consumers still want the power they are used to with raw internal combustion power. Keep in mind that when we talk about an electric utility vehicle, we arenít talking about an engine.
Conclusion
To help individuals take the leap into electric utility vehicles, we have to help them understand the concept. The real value and common sense of this quiet, clean, and practical electric utility vehicle will someday be a reality all can experience. That time is coming.
